Hotel Avifauna - Alphen a/d Rijn
Hotel Avifauna is situated between the four largest cities of the Netherlands, in the middle of the so-called Randstad, the urban agglomeration of Western Holland.
There is so much to do in Avifauna, that you won’t even have time to become bored. The hotel is located on the edge of the bird park. Birds from all parts of the world offer excitement for everyone. You can feed the honey parrots in the Australian Lori Landing and discover the treasures of the rain forest in the exotic Philippines foyer. In the Cuban aviary you walk through a swamp where you can see over a hundred flamingos up close.
During the spectacular bird demonstration numerous different birds demonstrate their natural behaviour.
For the kids the giant playground offers hours and hours of playing fun. They can climb and clamber through the desert area or make a boat trip on the jungle river. Hotel guests have free entrance to the bird park and the standard playground. Throughout the year the Avifauna shipping company makes different boat trips through the charming Dutch scenery of the Green Heart, from a short round trip to an extensive lakes trip with a hot/cold buffet.
Especially for the sports-loving guests we have the most beautiful cycle routes through the Green Heart available. And what’s more, as a hotel guest you can make free use of the sports centre in Alphen aan den Rijn and get a discount on the entrance fee of the adjoining swimming pool. The modern centre of Alphen aan den Rijn offers delightful shopping opportunities and many comfortable outdoor cafes on the waterfront. In addition, you can visit a performance in the new theatre or catch a movie.

Familyroom:
The quadruple room consists of two floors. On the ground floor you will find a kitchenette, a sitting area and two single beds. The first floor, which can be reached by a fixed staircase, consists of one bedroom with a dou ble bed and a spacious bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and toilet.
Suites
Our luxurious suites are fitted with all modern conveniences. A spacious double bed, two luxurious relax chairs, television, telephone and wireless internet facilities. The suite has an open bathroom with a double jacuzzi, shower and a separate toilet. Breakfast in bed, champagne and chocolates are included with a stay in this suite.
