Wander through the tropical jungles of the Philippines hall and see how many different birds you can count flying around. Some are hidden really well amongst the greenery. You can see species here that only live in the Philippines. They make sounds you have never heard before! From the Philippine jungle, you step right into another continent. One of our tropical halls has been converted into a piece of the world’s best-known marsh, the South American Pantanal. Complete with plants, rock formations and ramps. All kinds of South American birds fly around here and you can also look at the underwater life of the Pantanal. Different varieties of South American fish can be seen through the underwater window.
Go and see the latest residents soon: the orange cocks-of the-rock. These beautiful South American birds can only be found in a few European zoos.
